Research & Ideation

To kickstart the design process, I reviewed existing tech marketplaces to gain inspiration and insights into best practices. Additionally, I collaborated with the company’s partnership and product teams to gain a deeper understanding of their requirements and the needs of the target users, while considering business goals.

Challenge

The team wanted to include multiple integration categories, which could potentially overwhelm users and make the scrolling experience repetitive. This highlighted the need for a well-organized information architecture and hierarchy to ensure a smooth user experience.

Solution

To address the challenge, I devised a fixed sidebar navigation menu that provided users with quick and easy access to their desired integrations.

Adherence to Branding Guidelines

I followed the company's brand guidelines to maintain consistency and alignment with their existing visual identity.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Feedback

Throughout the design process, collaboration with various teams, including partnership, design, and product strategy, was instrumental. By actively incorporating their feedback and aligning the design with business goals and objectives, the marketplace evolved to meet the needs of both the company and its users.

UI Design

Home Page

The home page is designed to be simple and user-friendly, allowing users to quickly view different categories with their respective integrations, as well as recommended and popular options. The side menu enables easy navigation and exploration of categories based on user interest.

Category Page

On the category page, users can explore a range of integrations within the selected category. They can leverage filtering and sorting options to quickly find the specific integration they need.

Integration/Partner page

The integration page provides users with detailed product information and key features accompanied by illustrative screenshots.

Located at the top of the page, a prominent "Get Started" button leads users to a form where they can express their interest in the integration.

Conclusion

By organizing information effectively, adhering to branding guidelines, and collaborating with different stakeholders, the marketplace offers easy access to integrations. Ongoing usability testing and feedback iteration will further refine the marketplace.

By incorporating high-quality product photography and thoughtfully chosen lifestyle images, users can envision how the PH5 lamp could enhance their living spaces.

As the PH5 lamp is a premium product available in select boutiques worldwide rather than for online purchase, the main objective of this one-page website is not to facilitate direct online sales.

Instead, it aims to immerse users into the world of Louis Poulsen, providing insights into the lamp's history, the designer, and ultimately guiding users to find the nearest boutique where they can acquire the lamp.

The PH5 lamp is an iconic lighting fixture designed by Louis Poulsen. With its timeless appeal and elegant design, the PH5 lamp embodies the essence of mid-century Nordic style. Known for its clean lines and warm and diffused lighting, the PH5 lamp has become a beloved piece among interior design enthusiasts and professionals.

Background

I tried to harmoniously blend the elegant monochromatic tones with the vibrant colors that characterize the lamps.

Taking inspiration from the lamp's clean and simple lines, minimalist aesthetic, and warm lighting, I used Soft, muted color palettes, natural textures, and generous white space were utilized to create a feeling of simplicity and serenity.

I aimed to create a minimalist aesthetic that exudes a sense of luxury and exclusivity, aligning with the product's premium nature.
